Chicken keeping courses & workshops

There are no hard and fast rules on how to keep chickens and what is best for them. Our knowledge is based on our own experience and information gained from people who have the best interest of the hen and her welfare at heart. Our courses are designed for both the complete beginner and more advanced keeper, not only are they informative but we have a very hands-on approach with plenty of chickens handling and products to investigate.

We aim to have a very relaxed atmosphere and will encourage your involvement throughout the course; after all keeping hens should be a hobby not a chore.

The courses usually run for about two and a half hours with a break for coffee and home made cakes half way, they are held indoors so no need for wellies, there are pens and a full set of course notes within your pack.

Cotswold Chickens has the best goodie bag of any of the chicken courses!
