Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)  is a well-known food supplement, water purifier and natural antibiotic.  Made from whole sweet red apples, rich in minerals and trace elements it's as much a remedy as a food supplement.

The ACV you see in the shops is clear as it has been pasteutised to remove the impurities and make it look better.  Natural ACV is non-pasteurised so it is literally "alive". It looks cloudy and contains the "mother" which is a cobweb like substance found at the bottom of the bottle.  The gel like substance is the pectin which is found naturally in apples.  This is what gives it all the health benefits, no known pathogens can survive in raw ACV.

TIP Try putting a small amount (5ml) into a rabbit drinking bottle, the hens love to peck away at the drips keeping them highly amused in the run.  By adding the tonic to the bottle you won't waste as much as you would by adding it to a larger drinker that you will replace everyday.
